Once there are no more traces of the game, re-install the game. The game will crash somewhere between 250-260 song though so try not to go past that. Search for "aspyr" or "guitar", and start deleting. For those of you that dont care about what went into the fix (most of you probably): Replace the file in your DATASCRIPTSENGINE folder with this. You can do what would have been a bigger pain for me.īackup your registry, then go to start, type regedit.exe. But it didnt matter to me because I had nothing else on the OS, so no harm. It would have been a pain to delete them all manually. There are more then 100 different locations where keys are stored for the game. Just to kind of continue this thread for someone with the same problem.What should be done in order to fix this crashing issue without doing what the OP did and how?

Wouldn't it have been quicker to just delete all the registry entries for GH3 rather than a new install of Windows?

Seems to be when I was messing with the registry I forgot to undo some changes, which upon loading GH3 with 1.3 or later, would cause it to crash. The game will run fine on a completely clean install.īut once I install either 1.3 or 1.31 patches, the game will crash right after the loading save game screen says load successful.
